Is this safe to do the workouts while pregnant?

The exercise plans are not designed to be used during pregnancy and are not safe to use from 12 weeks gestation, until 6 weeks post-partum. The Hypopressives program should not be used until 12 weeks post caesarean section or episiotomy.

I have an IUD, can I do the Hypopressive Exercise?

We do not recommend Hypopressive Exercise for those with an IUD.

An IUD device carries a small risk of migration (movement) into the uterus or surrounding areas, if this occurs it could potentially require surgical intervention. Migration of an IUD can also result in pregnancy.

The Hypopressive vacuum has an intensive response of upwards suctioning of the pelvic contents which includes the vagina, cervix and uterus. This therefore could increase the risk of migration, although there are no studies to test this theory.

Choosing to do Hypopressives with an IUD device is not uncommon, however it is at your own informed risk to chose to do so. If you decide to do Hypopressives with acceptance of the added risk, please advise your health care provider first. We also advise to check your IUD string daily, and schedule regular placement check ups with your health care provider. Also, look out for any signs of migration such as pain, bleeding or movement of the string.

Can I go at my own pace?

Of course you can. The routines are designed for maximal results which a high frequency is required to achieve. You can definitely go at your own pace, just note that a higher output and frequency should be worked towards in order to progressively overload your body which means continued results.

I am a total beginner, is this okay for me?

Yes, you can go at your own pace. If an exercise our routine feels too hard, you can skip it and come back to it later once you are more comfortable. I suggest to start with the Baseline or Slim Waist Package. I will coach you thoroughly throughout the programming. Once you have nailed those, you can think of purchasing the Gym Deluxe Training Programming as a standalone item.

I have an injury, is it safe for me to do the booty kit workouts?

Please consult your doctor or physiotherapist for any medical advise, or book in a coaching session with our coach Hayley, for individualized exercise programming around your injury. These are dependant on availability from your time zone.

I have a health condition. Is this safe for me to do?

Please consult your medical practitioner for advice for starting our training programs.

If I am sore, should I still work out?

Generally if you feel your muscles are too sore to train, they deserve a rest while they are still adapting to the previous exercise stress. The frequency and amount of delayed onset muscle soreness you experience should stabilise after a couple of  weeks, and decline to a minimal amount. This has no correlation to the effectiveness or results of your workouts, but more so the body becoming adapted to regular exercise. People who exercise consistently rarely get extreme muscle soreness.

How often should I use the EMS and cupping?

You should aim for 5-6 days per week as a consistent target, but it is safe to use daily.

Can I use the EMS and cupping during pregnancy?

Given the lack of research and prudence of avoiding unnecessary risks during pregnancy, these treatments are not advised during pregnancy.

Can I use the oil during breastfeeding?

You can use the oil on the glute and thigh area. Do not apply to the breasts. If you notice a drop in milk supply you may want to discontinue use until this has been resolved.

The oil burns, is this normal?

Yes. The Booty Oil contains essential oils which will have a heating effect on the the skin and underlying tissues. Apply only a small amount of oil and stay away from sensitive areas such as inside the buttocks. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly after application. Your skin will adapt to the sensation so it should become less intense each time.

The oil irritates my skin, why is that?

If you have sensitive skin and become irritated from the product please consult your doctor to check for any underlying skin concerns that can be treated. But like all cosmetic products, there will be some people who have skin sensitive to this product. Please note the burning sensation is normal, by irritation this is referring to redness and abnormal skin appearance. You can also try diluting the Booty Oil with a coconut oil to reduce the strength of the product.

It is not recommended to use the oil on skin that has an underlying condition such as psoriasis and eczema.

Do not use the oil on broken skin.

What is your policy for manufacturing faults?

You have 30 days to return your product and we will happily replace and rectify and manufacturing faults within this time period. Outside of this time period we are not liable to refund or replace goods.

My EMS Kit has stopped working. What do I do?

Please note the EMS kits are not designed to last long-term as they are home-based devices hence why we sell refill kits for your continued usage. You are supplied with replacement gel pads in your initial kit, to elongate the life of the electrodes and they need to be cared for as per the instructional manual. Once the electrodes have ‘run their lifeline’ you will need to purchase a refill kit.

You should get approximately 15-20 uses from each jelly pad, but this will differ depending on usage, storage and care.

For all New Zealand orders we aim to deliver within 1-3 working days for Metro areas.

What causes cellulite?

There are a combination of factors which can contribute to cellulite. These can include fat cells trapped within the skins lower layers, tight fibrous bands that create dimples by pulling on the skin and connective tissue, thinned/damaged skin, genetic strands within your DNA, hormones, age, excessive body fat, circulation issues and poor diet.

Studies show that over 80% of women have some degree of cellulite.

Will using the kit fix my cellulite?

Cellulite is not something that can be ‘fixed permanently’. It occurs in most women. What this kit will do, is help you reduce and manage the appearance of cellulite if the protocols are followed. Cellulite is a normal part of aging, and can become harder to manage as the aging process continues in life.

I’ve heard that cellulite can be cause by hormones, is this true?

Yes. Nearly 85% of women aged over 20 have cellulite, while cellulite in men is very rare. This is because Estrogen (the female hormone), encourages the body to build and store fat. Testosterone (the male hormone), encourages fat burning.

As women age, our Estrogen levels decrease and our fat cells enlarge. One specific type of Estrogen called Estradiol which helps regulate metabolism and body weight is therefore also decreased with age.

As our Estrogen levels decrease we can experience a lack of blood flow and oxygen to our connective tissues and skin. This can increase the likelihood of visible cellulite appearing.

I’ve heard that genetics can be the blame for cellulite, is this true?

Certain genetic factors can contribute to cellulite. These can include the persons speed of metabolism, DNA strains, fat distribution, ethnicity and circulatory levels.

My cellulite went away, so I stopped using the kit, and now it has returned. Why is that?

As per all of the information above, there are many factors will will impact cellulite appearance and due to this there is no permanent cure. Cellulite is a normal occurrence in women and using the kit regularly, alongside a healthy diet and exercise regime will help reduce and manage cellulite appearance. The process will not always be linear due to lifestyle choices, age and overall health. Being consistent with your efforts will pay off, but is not a magic trick to ban cellulite forever.
